Heraldry
Heraldry can be relatively straight forward as in the Skelton arms, its use by different branches of the family changing little shield to shield. In the Kingston Upon Hull citation though, it is highly decorative, the coat of arms becoming one with the numerous flourishes and embellished letters of the whole.
